‘Banjo’ Paterson - With a dashing hat the picture of Paterson is on the $10 note. Paterson was a folk writer of the 20th century and his best creation, The Man from Snowy River, is printed on the $10 note along with the picture.

Dame Mary Gilmore on the Australian $10 note

Dame Mary Gilmore - Dame was another social and political reformist who wrote prose and poetry in the 1900s. Her face featured on the $10 note. She was a very active social reformer and campaigned for old and young people, women, Aborigines and workers.
